Card for Mingle

Since my partner has received her card I thought I would share it with you all. This is a grid card done using that great tool the ScorPal. The base card was Very Vanilla, then Ruby Red and then the next layer of Vanilla was done on the ScorPal at 1 inch increments in both directions. All corners of each layer were punched with the Ticket Corner Punch. I then stamped my image added Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds. I then used the striped grosgrain that I knotted in the center added hello

Cuttlebug Challenge #19 Embossed Acetate

I have already made one of these but that was for a different challenge. Here is the card for this one. I really like running this acetate through the Cuttlebug.
1) I cut a piece of Acetate card size - used a Nestabilities jacket
2) Ran it through the Cuttlebug using two different folders
3) Cut a piece of Parisian Breeze Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! 2 x 5 1/2 and mounted it on the back of the folder.
4) Stampin' Up! Simple Flower die was cut using Baja Breeze and pop dotted to the front of the acetate. Stickles used around the raised edges.
5) So Saffron Striped Grosgrain Ribbon was tied around the center and adhered with glue dots.
6) SPRING was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock in So Saffron and I used a very old punch I have for the edges. It was then mounted on the acetate below the ribbon.
7) The image to the right was a piece I received from DAWN in my wonderful goodies from the OWOH give-a-way and it was adhered to the front right bottom.
8) I cut a piece of Very Vanilla, punched and sponged it and placed it behind the image on the back of the acetate.
I hope you like it!

Tag Your It!!!

Here is the tag I did for this challenge. I used temporary Mono to adhere the punched Decorative Accent #2 from Stampin' Up! to the base tag. I then sponged over the Accent, that I had punched from Close to Cocoa cardstock with the Big Shot, with Chocolate Chip ink then at the top of the tag I sponged Handsome Hunter down to the Chocolate. I then stamped the large swirl from Baroque Motifs 2 times, punched various circles and added them along with some buttons and some Stickles. I may add more glitz to it. Fibers are from Stampin' Up! and Club Scrap. If you want to join in on this Challenge please visit: http://weekendtaggers.blogspot.com/

Truly Scrumptious Challenge

I found a new challenge at Truly Scrumptious and had to give it a try. Papers are all Stampin' Up! The Designer Paper is retired but I want to use it for this card. Old Olive and Bashful Blue are the basic colors.
1) On the corners of the designer paper after punching them out, sorry I don't remember the name of this one, I backed them with clear shipping tape then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds over them.
2) I had to use my new Nestibilities, Label 2 set, then sponged the designer paper with Old Olive.
3) Old Olive Striped Grosgrain was adhered behind the designer paper Nestie piece.
4) The Build a Flower bigz die was used for the main center flower done in Bashful Blue
5) The flower was then run through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot Folder.
6) I cut 2 Stampin' Up! Little Leaves from the sizzlit dies and placed them behind the main flower which I pop dotted.
7) Punched one 1/2 inch circle of the designer paper using my Stampin' Up! punch, pop dotted it then used Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds.
8) Stamped For You on to Whisper White cardstock punched it out with the Round Tab punch, sponged with Old Olive and place it behind my image section.
9) Finished it off with MS Butterfly punch and a tiny flower punch I have had for ages. Hope you like and and check out the Truly Scrumptious Challenge also.

Another Yellow!

The left side of this card uses the Faux Felt Technique from the TJ Newsletter for February/March 2009. I also ran it through my Cuttlebug then used Twinkling H2o's to color the branch. The background white card was run through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder, can I say it is my favorite so far! The flower is the Daisy Flower Sizzlit die that I got from Stampin' Up! I actually did 5 flowers and 3 are pop dotted together while the other two are under. The Little Leaves Sizzlit was used also. A large Pearl button from the Pretties Kit then stickles all around finished this card off.

Cuttlebug Bling

Here is a card that I completed finally for the Cuttlebug Spot Bling Challenge. I just had to use my favorite Parisian Breeze Designer Paper from Stampin' Up!. The silver piece at the top is a tape that I have run through the Cuttlebug. The little flower accents are from Class A Peel stickers, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch took care of the little ones at the top. The bigger butterfly was actually stamped then cut out. I topped them all with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds. The big butterfly is from the new Stampin' Up! set God's Beauty.

Cuttlebug Bling - Yellow

I guess this one could go for either one of the two Cuttlebug challenges, this is the link for the Yellow Challenge. The big flower was originally white but I used TH2o's over it. The butterflys are MS and they have Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds on them. I am still making up my mind if I like this. All papers Stampin' Up! Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder, Photo Corner Punch from Stampin' Up! The flower was from CTMH

Here's a box......

I have yet to finish everything that goes inside this box but the outside is pretty much done. I used my favorite - Parisian Breeze Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! for a good portion of this. I also used the Baja Breeze 12 x 12 cardstock. Flowers are from my stash and I just had to add Stickles. Stampin' Up! Little Leaves sizzlit die and Photo Corners Punch were also used. The butterfly is from a sheet of K & Co stickers I have on hand. I think when finished this will be a Mother's Day gift. I hope she will like it. If you want to make one of these here are the directions:

HELPING OUT......

I got this information on my Stampingscrapbookers group.

Jennifer McGuire has offered to let U.S. contributors send their pages to her P.O. box, so you don't have to pay the cost of shipping to Australia. She'll bundle the pages she gets and send them on to Australia at her own cost. Please check it out at her link and help if you can.

BLOG CANDY

Stop over to see my friend Beth she has some awesome blog candy she is giving away!

Another for CBI #18

I did this "card" using an empty Stampin' Up! stamp box that was cut up and run through the cuttlebug. It was hard to get a good photo so I hope you can see this okay. The Top Note Die from Stampin' Up! was done 2 times and the second one was folded in half. I have used 3 different Cuttlebug folders for this and sponged the edges of Very Vanilla Cardstock with Bravo Burgundy, added Burgundy flowers and a Pearl from the Pretties Kit to the center. Please check out the challenge:

More Cuttlebug #18 Challenge art

I enjoyed the Cuttlebug Challenge this week and have done 2 more "cards" for it. This first one is actually a set of tags. I used the Dots folder for the front and back tag, sponged the edges with Not Quite Navy, did the Simple Flower die from Stampin' Up! 3 times in NQN, also did 3 of the Little Leaves in Always Artichoke for the front label. Pop dotted the front flower and placed a Mini Pearl from Crystal Stickers on the front one. You can just barely see the bead that I made hanging on the left side of the second photo. These are so easy to make with any kind of paper, your Melting Pot and UTEE. If you want to learn to make these beads head on over to: http://www.paperartistsonline.com/
I have made a bunch but this is the first project that I have used any on. Most of the fibers I used are from Club Scrap, papers, stamps and inks are all from Stampin' Up!

St. Patricks ATC Swap

I signed on to this swap without really having anything for St. Patricks day. I scoured the web and could not find what I wanted. I knew Penny had some great free images so I emailed her and she did up a sheet. I picked this fellow and since my letter was I used the saying Luck of the Irish be with you. The added bling is Crystal Effects and Stickles on his beer foam and a Shamrock in the corner. I hope the girls will like him. Penny has some wonderful free images check out her photobucket site: http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c191/d0npen/

You do not have to be a member of photobucket.

Cuttlebug Challenge #18 - CBI18

I check out the new Challenge this morning for the Cuttlebug and it was to make a card in a different shape. I only have the Top Note Die from Stampin' Up! What I did was double my base layer of Very Vanilla and placed it on the die down a little so that the top would not be cut. I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder but only placed the top layer of cardstock in the folder. I now have a folded card base which I sponged in Not Quite Navy. The next die I used was the Scallop Circle which was cut from the new Designer Paper Bella Bleu. I folded the large circle in half and wrapped it around the card. I then punched out 2 Not Quite Navy pieces from the Scallop Circle punch that I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swirls folder. The smaller Designer Paper Scallop Circle was placed in the center over the other circles and I added Just a Note from the Elegant Cheer set sponged in NQN and pop dotted it after punching it with the Designer Label Punch. I really needed to add a butterfly to this so I decided to cut 3 out and pop dot each layer add Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds and it is ready to go. Hope you like it! Now go check out the Challenge and add your card.

One World One Heart Give a way Closed

The winner will be announced tomorrow!

Grid Card - last day for OWOH

I actually have done 2 grid cards but am only putting one up now. The grid is for a swap on the ScorPalPals group and if you haven't checked them out please do. The other will go to a swap partner the end of this month. I'll show it after the swap is received. This one is completed using Very Vanilla and Certainly Celery cardstock from Stampin' Up! The new stamp set Thoughts & Prayers really conveyed my feelings for a friend. I sponged the edges of the grid and used Celery Grosgrain along with tiny pearls on a few of the flowers. I couldn't let a card go without a touch of glitter so that is also on some of the flowers. Hope she likes it.

This is also the last day for entering the One World One Heart give-a-way. Many have entered and there are marvelous gifts that will be given away this evening. Please enter my give-a-way and check out some of the others before it is over.

It's a Tag!!!

This is for a tag challenge at www.paperartistsonline.com
We were to do a Tim Tag of his Christmas Tag #1 but change almost everything about it. We had to use a mask- I used a doily, change the ink colors I used Stampin' Up! Not Quite Navy, Distress Inks Black Soot and Pine Needles - Pine Needles is there blended in with the Navy. We also had to us chipboard/grungeboard so I stamped my moth 3 times in NQN on Very Vanilla cardstock, glued it to chipboard and cut them out. I then pop dotted all three to make it really stand out. To finish him off I add Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds. The moth is from Stampin' Up! and the verse and top design are both from Tim Holtz. I added Class a peel stickers to the top design and different ribbons and it is finished. Stop by Paper Artists and look them over.

Parisian Breeze Again

I'm sure you are getting tired of seeing this Designer Paper but I just love it! I made this gate fold card that used Baja Breeze along with the Designer Paper. As you can see I over did it with the Pretties Kit but just wanted to add a lot of "stuff" to this one. I still have nothing stamped on the inside and not sure what I'm going to put there. I may change my mind and make this an anniversary card for my hubby. If you can't read it the saying at the bottom right is Happiness Always from Stampin' Up! Also along the right side of the gate I stamped the flower from the new Hostess set God's Beauty.

Birthday Hugs

Here is another card that I just had to try. It started out totally different but I like the finished product. Whisper White, Parisian Breeze Specialty Designer Paper and Baja Breeze cardstock.
The second view is the card open. The stickles and Class A Peel sticker on the inside flower are the only non Stampin' Up! products.

Followers Gadget - Card Challenge

I have just added the followers gadget to my blog. I would love for you to click on it and be added. I will make sure to visit your blog regularly once you are added.

Now on to business. I have been following my friend Beth as she has been making these awesome cards for the Cuttlebug Challenge. I have some of the folders and decided I needed to play with them more. This card will go to my hubby on Valentines day.....I must tell you that after 42 years of marriage we don't usually do anything special. I used two different folders and also the Top Note Die folder from Stampin' Up! The base layer for the card is Stampin' Up! Pink Pirouette, followered by Whisper White run through the cuttlebug then inked with my Color Box Chalk Inks, thanks for making me use them Beth! I have added Red Organdy Ribbon and Red Striped Grosgrain across the half piece of Top Note Die which was cut from the Real Red cardstock. I had a heart brad that I removed the prongs of and used a piece of dimensional to attach to the middle knot of the grosgrain. I have a second one in the works but the glitter is not dry.

Stampin' Up! Catalog CASE page 95

These two cards are my version of cards that are in the new Stampin' Up! IB&C. The Dear Friend card uses the set Eastern Influences and the Hostess set Dear Friend. Cardstock is Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Very Vanilla. Ink is Certainly Celery and I have pop dotted the extra leaves with one layer of dimensionals and the flower with a double layer. The flower has Crystal Effects and Dazzling diamonds. I also sponged the torn edge with Certainly Celery and used the same color grosgrain ribbon. The other set of tools used was the paper piercing tool in the crafters tool kit.
The other card uses Bird on a Branch. I have used the Faux Felt tutorial from Technique Junkies on this card. Garden Green, So Saffron and Very Vanilla cardstock. Basic Brown, Garden Green and Certainly Celery are the inks used. I really like the new Designer Papers from Stampin' Up! and the background on this card is fromFlock Together. I used the paper piercing tool on the background paper for this card.

A Birthday card

My sister-in-laws birthday is coming up soon so I made this card for her. The birthday wishes will go on the inside. The only thing I did after this photo was taken was to add stickles to the hummingbird. Two new Stampin' Up! sets were used here Pretty Amazing and Wonderful Watercolors. I don't remember which set the happiness stamp came from. Cardstock is Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Whisper White and Designer Paper Parisian Breeze. Baja Breeze striped Ribbon is knotted and secured behind the stamped image. I used Class-A-Peal stickers on the flowers for some extra bling. I hope she likes it.

In the mail today.......

I got this wonderful mail today. Just want to say thank you my friend I love that card and the ATC's . Stop over and visit Vicki if you haven't seen her wonderful work.

Dear Friend - Pretty Amazing

Two stamp sets are used in the Dear Friend Card. I love flower sets and Flower Fancy is no exception. Stamped the main background flower on Shimmery Cardstock in Chocolate Chip filled it in with Baja Breeze and then stamped another and cut it out, popped dotted it over the first. I then used the direct to paper method to add color to the edges. I love using the photo corner punch and did it on all the layers for this card. Base card is Kraft, layers include Chocolate Chip and the new Designer Specialty Parisian Breeze. Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon at the side. I am debating on adding some glitter to the center of the flower. What do you think???
Here is another card Using Technique Junkies Faux Felt. Actually this is the other half of the piece used on a previous card. All products Stampin' Up! I love this new Designer Paper Parisian Breeze which is one of their new Specialty line papers. Nice subtle texture with them. I even did one of the hummingbirds using the paper. The wings have Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds but you can't really see how it stands out in the photo. I had originally done this with only 2 hummingbirds but decided I needed a third. I put up both photos so you can see it really does look better with 3. Basicly this is the same card stock as the previous one. The set used for this one is Pretty Amazing with the addition of Striped Grosgrain Ribbon in Baja Breeze which is knotted in the center.

Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting!

From the TJ Newsletter

Wow can you believe it 3 cards! The top card is Faux Felt Tutorial and uses almost all new products from the Stampin' Up! Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog. The stamping set used is Simple Friendship and uses the lucious new Parisian Breeeze Specialty paper that has a great texture to it. I also used Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Craft cardstock. Tools used include the 1 3/8 inch circle punch along with the scallop circle punch. Chocolate Chip ink and 5/8 inch Baja Breeze ribbon and the fun new Corduroy Buttons! If you haven't gotten any of those buttons or papers head over to my Stampin" Up! website and order now.

The other two cards are the Triple Play Tutorial - haven't quite finished the third yet. This card uses Sage Shadow cardstock which does not show up right on this scan for some reason and the new To the Nine Specialty paper. The wonderful new set Friends 24-7 is used on both cards and I just had to cut the bird out and pop dot him. You can get all these goodies by going to my website.

You really need to check out the Technique Junkie Newsletter also. Great ideas to work with. That link is over on the side here also.
