Two for today

I love the new Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! The green on the first card is from the Ski Slope series. I love the Olive Green and Vanilla background for this card. A Wish for Peace is stamped in Old Olive on Very Vanilla cardstock. I used the ticket corner punch on all the layers for this card. The main tree has Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds to make it the main focal point. The small piece of red at the bottom is the other side of the designer paper and I just had to use some pearls from the Pretties Kit.

My brown card is the Chocolate Chip Patterns Series Designer Paper. I stamped Home for Christmas in Basic Brown on Whisper White cardstock, ran it through my Xyron both ways. I then cut the design in quarters, carefully peeled off the front Xyron paper and poured Dazzling Diamonds over it. Then smooshed the pieces, remove excess DD and mounted it on Chocolate Chip cardstock (of course it is not as straight as it should be). The bottom piece of designer paper was turned over and then I used the Scallop Edge punch, then mounted the greeting from Heard from the Heart on it. I also added some of my new favorite stickers from Class A Peel.

I hope you like them. Now I really need to clean up a few things around this house.

Beaded Christmas Micro Ornament

My first Christmas tree ornament for this year. Stampin' Up! To You & Yours stamp set. The house image is stamped on Shimmery cardstock in Going Gray. I then used a blender pen to add some color to to image. I just had to add glitter so I used Crystal Effects along the edge of the roof and added Dazzling Diamonds. Once it was totally dry I sandwiched it between two 2 x 3 Micro slides and used Sticky strip along the edges to hold it together. Ultra-fine microbeads topped off the sticky strip but I had to add a dash of color and decided on these Royal Blue beads from Pennywisearts.com - please check out their site for wonderful colors of beads.
For the hanger I used silver wire that I strung various shades of blue beads. I hope you like it.

Lovely As a Tree

This is one of my favorite all time stamp sets. So very versatile and I really love it done as a Christmas Card. I had to use the Big Shot Top Note Bigz Die and Saraha Sand cardstock for the main image. The tree itself is stamped in Always Artichoke then it is mounted on Always Artichoke cardstock that had the small pine bough stamped on it. I have a lot of layers on this one because that it then mounted on Chocolate Chip.
The base card is done as a Gate Fold, my new favorite type now that I have that marvelous Scor-Pal. I also used the new Chocolate Chip Designer Paper on each piece of the gate. Punches used were the Designer Label where the season's greetings from To You & Yours Stampin' Up! set is stamped, then sponed then mounted on a piece of Chocolate Chip punched with the new Wide Oval Punch. The new Alpine Ribbon from the Holiday Mini was placed on the side after punching with the Horizontal slot punch. I can see that I will be needing more of this ribbon. I also used Class A'Peel Stickers from Stampendous on the tree. I hope you like it.

A new Christmas card

I just had to add a Christmas card. This one has the well used Lovely As A Tree and Punches Three from Stampin' Up! Cardstock is Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy. Two Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Alpine Ribbon, VersaMark pad, Heat & Stick Powder were all used along with Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy Classic Ink from Stampin' Up!

Purse

I just had to do this cute little purse that was on
My version is not scored but I think it turned out kind of cute for the first try. I used Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and Old Olive as my colors - this just happens to fit into Color Challenge185 on Splitcoaststampers.com.
Heartfelt Thanks from Stampin' Up! is the set along with the Pretties Kit for embellishements. Please let me know how you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Can you Believe it!

I finally did a card that is not for Christmas. I do not have the lastest rage in markers - Copics but I do have Prismacolor pencils which I have never used. I finally picked up some baby oil, yes, baby oil to use with them. This is my first try and I do need to work a bit on my shading but I think it turned out okay. I love the Stampin' Up! set Morning Soft and it was stamped using black StazOn and the Natural White cardstock from Stampin' Up! Of course, I can't do a card without using at least one punch so I used Stampin' Up!s Word Window Punch and then added tiny pearls from the Pretties Kit. The card was mounted on Elegant Eggplant and then on Naturals White. I am debating on adding glitter to this on because I happen to love glitter almost as much as punches.
Have a great day!

Three cards

Can you believe it 3 cards and only one of them is Christmas. The first two were completed for the WT184 Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Today we were to use a Silhouette stamp and I chose two different cards to do. The Christmas one uses the set A Cardinal Christmas. I also used my new ScorPal to make it a gate card. If you don't have one of these you really do need one. Makes a gate card so easy to do. I used Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White colors for this. I also used the Cuttlebug with the new Ornament Folder and then sponged color on some of the ornaments. Finishing it off is Stickles and Riding Hood Red Stitched Ribbon.
The next one is the Pocket Silhouettes set that I've used for the first time. I like Baja Breeze and teamed it with Not Quite Navy for this card. Stickles, Ticket Corner Punch and another folder from Cuttlebug for the Direct to Paper background.
Last but not least is my first try using the Prismacolor Pencils. I hope you like them.

Except for the stickles and tiny pearl beads all supplies are Stampin' Up!

Big Shot Top Note Bigz Die Tip

Now I can't claim this tip I got the idea from:
Please give her blog a visit. Anyhow, on this card I folded my Always Artichoke cardstock in half before putting through the Big Shot and I placed it so the folded edge missed being cut! So simple and it gives a great look.
Cardstock base - Basic Gray 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Real Red next layer run through with cuttlebug background
then the Always Artichoke piece. I also ran a piece of Whisper White through so that the left side was cut off. I then trimmed it down to fit on the Artichoke. This was stamped with the tree from Snow Swirled in Always Artichoke, the small snowflake stamped in real red on top. Then I had to give a try to the new Chrismas Rub-Ons Season of Cheer. I then used my Horizontal Slot Punch to punch two places on the Artichoke piece so I could run the Red Gingham Ribbon through it making a bow. Then Class A'Peel Stickers Dot Sparklers Silver were added to finish off the tree. I hope you like it!

New Tool and Another Christmas Card

First of all I must tell you I got the Scor-Pal yesterday at Archivers and it is wonderful. If you want to make perfect folds for your cards you really must look into getting one. I will get a link posted here later for more information on it.

You must put up with more Christmas cards. I just did this one this morning and of course I used my new Scor-Pal as I really wanted to do a gate card. I have never been able to get them folded correctlybefore getting the ScorPal. This used the Stampin' Up! set Jolliest Time of the Year, their new Holiday Treasures Designer Paper, the fantastic Alpine Ribbon Originals. I also used my new Big Shot from Stampin' Up! with the Scallop Circle Die from Sizzix. I'm loving playing with this new toy also. The base card is Chocolate Chip and for the designer background I cut the piece in half and used both sides.
I hope you like it.

A Wish for Peace

So far I think my favorite Christmas set is this A Wish for Peace that is in the new Stampin' Up! idea book & catalog. I'm waiting for the sets from the Holiday Mini to arrive and then I'm sure to have a new favorite!

The card with the Dove was completed using Basic Gray cardstock and ink. I used the Itty Bitty Backgrounds to stamp the bottom portion of the white underlying panel. I then added a slight touch of color by using the Mellow Moss Taffeta Ribbon before mounting the main stamped panel. The Dove is mounted on Dimensionals for added depth and of course I had to use Crystal Stickles. You know I'm going to Archivers today and may have to add Stickles to my list.

On the Second card Holiday Treasures Designer Paper was used for the background, Old Olive ink and cardstock, Crystal Stickles and that terrific Real Red Striped Ribbon. I made use of two of the new punches - Wide Oval and Scalloped Square for the saying that is also a new stamp set Punches Three which is a level one Hostess Set. Hope you like them.

Stuck on Christmas cards

Snow Swirled is one of the new sets that has just come out from Stampin' Up! On this card I have used the new 'In Color' Pacific Point for the ink, cardstock and striped ribbon. The background is heavy duty aluminum foil that I have run through the Cuttlebug, trimmed to size and mounted on the cardstock. I used two Stampin' Up! punches - the Round Tab and the new Wide Oval. The ribbon has a piece of the Styled Silver Hodgepodge around the center and is secured using mini Glue Dots. I just had to add some Crystal Stickles to the tree for the glitz.

I even did a scond card using the Doodle This set and making another Poinsettia this time using Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke. The Designer Paper is retired from Stampin' Up! and really goes well with this card. A pearl from the Pretties Kit is in the center. I think I will soon be needing another Pretties Kit as I am running very low on some of the items.

I had to case a wonderful card off of Splitcoaststampers - http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1040756?si=doodle%20this

I love what Emily did and this is my version. One of the changes I made was to use Gold Embossing. I am pleased with the way it turned out. Hope you like it.

You're on my mind uses the new Upsy Daisy set from Stampin' Up! which is very popular. Both cards uses new In Colors, Upsy Daisy uses Baja Breeze and Embrace Life uses Kiwi Kiss. New designer papers Holiday Treasure and Bella Rose from Stampin' Up! were used on the cards.

Christmas again.....

Here are a couple completed using the new Snow Swirled set. The Season's Greetings card is silver embossed on a piece of white that was cut using the new Big Shot Top Note Bigz Die exclusive from Stampin' Up! It is so easy to use and really helps dress up a card. I used silver brads at each of the points and sponged the edges with Night of Navy. The Night of Navy was stamped on the background piece also.
The other card also uses Night of Navy and has 4 layers. The Scallop punch was used with this card and "double" cut. The Real Red Striped Grosgrain attached at the top, along with silver cord and a Window Charm gives the finishing touch on this one.

Peace & Joy

I love the new BIG SHOT from Stampin' Up! This card was a simple card to complete. I used the Whisper White Textured cardstock for the base and edge it with Krylon Gold Leafing Pen. I then used Basic Black Card stock and the exclusive Top Note Bigz Die which I then also edged in the gold leafing. Next I used the extended spacer platform, textured whisper white cardstock and Join in the Cheer Decorative Strip Die. I cut apart the words I wanted and for Peace covered it with the gold leafing but left & Joy the way it came out. I wrapped the Elastic Gold Cord around the right side several times and adhered it with Glue Dots. I hope you like it.
