TRIPLE PLAY CARDS

March is a month where I have several birthdays for men in our families. I decided that the Technique Junkie Triple Play Tutorial was just what I needed.
1) Used the ScorPal to score 12 x 12 cardstock at the 3 inch mark.
2) Turned cardstock and cut three 4 inch cards.
3) Cut a piece of designer paper, sorry don't know the name but it is Stampin' Up! at 3 3/4 x 2 3/4
4) Cut 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 Very Vanilla and stamped Birthday Wishes from the Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations set in Basic Brown toward the bottom of each.
5) Used the Lexicon of Leaves set stamped in Basic Brown on the front and also on the "inside" of each panel using different leaves from the set.
Just plain basic cards but so very easy to do.

Grid Card - last day for OWOH

I actually have done 2 grid cards but am only putting one up now. The grid is for a swap on the ScorPalPals group and if you haven't checked them out please do. The other will go to a swap partner the end of this month. I'll show it after the swap is received. This one is completed using Very Vanilla and Certainly Celery cardstock from Stampin' Up! The new stamp set Thoughts & Prayers really conveyed my feelings for a friend. I sponged the edges of the grid and used Celery Grosgrain along with tiny pearls on a few of the flowers. I couldn't let a card go without a touch of glitter so that is also on some of the flowers. Hope she likes it.

This is also the last day for entering the One World One Heart give-a-way. Many have entered and there are marvelous gifts that will be given away this evening. Please enter my give-a-way and check out some of the others before it is over.

A Scrap page

I have blocked out my dear daughter-in-laws face for privacy reasons. I am working a an album for her and our new granddaughter. These photos were from the shower. I am very happy with the way this has turned out so far. I used my Scor-Pal to do the pleat for across the top of the page. All papers are Stampin' Up! and the Designer Paper is Banbury and it goes perfectly with the Certainly Celery and Pink Pirouette cardstock. I used the retired stamp set I'm Here for the feet and hands. I have a scond page but it is not this far along yet. I am not doing the journaling for these pages as I plan to let my daughter-in-law complete them. This page looks so much better IRL. Thanks for looking. Please just clikc on the photo for a close up view. I found out about doing the pleats from the Scor-Pal Yahoo group but unfortunately don't remember who showed this technique.

Season's Greetings

If you have never visited Jan Tink's blog you really must. This is my take of her latest card. Mine is a Double Accordian Gate Fold which I made using my wonderful Scor-Pal but right now I'm just showing you the front that I could scan. The pics didn't come out very good of the inside so I have to retake. All products here are Stampin' Up! I used the same colors as Jan did Brocade Blue and WW. This card has lots of glitter. Not only did I use Dazzling Diamonds I used some of Stampin' Up! Glitter Fine Cosmo on the trees. I hope to get the other pics up soon.

Accordian Fold Card

It is a Christmas one of course. This card was so easy to do using the terrific new Scor-Pal. Check it out by following the link on the side. Stampin' Up! Lovely As a Tree set and Punches Three were used along with Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke cardstock and Ski Slope Designer Paper. I also used A Wish for Peace as my stamped verse on the inside but you really can't see it with this view. I'll try and get another picture up later showing the whole card.

Todays Cards

I had a friend over today to make some cards. She is trying to decide what she wants to get to make her cards for this year. These are just 3 of the ones we made and the middle one is not really in the running. Just playing around with that one.

The top card is actually a gate fold which you really can't see since the card was scanned. I love doing gate folds now that I have the Scor-Pal! If you don't have one click on the image to the right for more information. It is a wonderful new tool. Now back to the card, this is A Wish for Peace stamped in Old Olive on Very Vanilla cardstock, sponged on the edges and I pierced the two upper corners before mounting on Old Olive. The base card is one of my favorite new "In Colors" from Stampin' Up! Baja Breeze. The background for the card is Baroque Motifs stamp set. The trees have Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds added for extra pop.

Middle card also uses Baroque Motifs in the background and Snow Swirled stamp set, Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds also added. Colors are Real Red and another new "In Color" Pacific Point.

The last for tonight uses A Wish for Peace and card stock Sahara Sand and Always Artichoke, ink is Always Artichoke. I love the new A Very Merry Christmas stamp from the Punches Three Hostess set, the Ticket Corner Punch and the Scallop Square Punch. For an added touch I used Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds and Dimensionals.

We did 5 other cards but I think I will wait and show them later. Have a great evening.

Lovely As a Tree

This is one of my favorite all time stamp sets. So very versatile and I really love it done as a Christmas Card. I had to use the Big Shot Top Note Bigz Die and Saraha Sand cardstock for the main image. The tree itself is stamped in Always Artichoke then it is mounted on Always Artichoke cardstock that had the small pine bough stamped on it. I have a lot of layers on this one because that it then mounted on Chocolate Chip.
The base card is done as a Gate Fold, my new favorite type now that I have that marvelous Scor-Pal. I also used the new Chocolate Chip Designer Paper on each piece of the gate. Punches used were the Designer Label where the season's greetings from To You & Yours Stampin' Up! set is stamped, then sponed then mounted on a piece of Chocolate Chip punched with the new Wide Oval Punch. The new Alpine Ribbon from the Holiday Mini was placed on the side after punching with the Horizontal slot punch. I can see that I will be needing more of this ribbon. I also used Class A'Peel Stickers from Stampendous on the tree. I hope you like it.

Three cards

Can you believe it 3 cards and only one of them is Christmas. The first two were completed for the WT184 Challenge on Splitcoaststampers. Today we were to use a Silhouette stamp and I chose two different cards to do. The Christmas one uses the set A Cardinal Christmas. I also used my new ScorPal to make it a gate card. If you don't have one of these you really do need one. Makes a gate card so easy to do. I used Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red and Whisper White colors for this. I also used the Cuttlebug with the new Ornament Folder and then sponged color on some of the ornaments. Finishing it off is Stickles and Riding Hood Red Stitched Ribbon.
The next one is the Pocket Silhouettes set that I've used for the first time. I like Baja Breeze and teamed it with Not Quite Navy for this card. Stickles, Ticket Corner Punch and another folder from Cuttlebug for the Direct to Paper background.
Last but not least is my first try using the Prismacolor Pencils. I hope you like them.

New Tool and Another Christmas Card

First of all I must tell you I got the Scor-Pal yesterday at Archivers and it is wonderful. If you want to make perfect folds for your cards you really must look into getting one. I will get a link posted here later for more information on it.

You must put up with more Christmas cards. I just did this one this morning and of course I used my new Scor-Pal as I really wanted to do a gate card. I have never been able to get them folded correctlybefore getting the ScorPal. This used the Stampin' Up! set Jolliest Time of the Year, their new Holiday Treasures Designer Paper, the fantastic Alpine Ribbon Originals. I also used my new Big Shot from Stampin' Up! with the Scallop Circle Die from Sizzix. I'm loving playing with this new toy also. The base card is Chocolate Chip and for the designer background I cut the piece in half and used both sides.
I hope you like it.
