I have to share this photo with you.  Here it is the middle of January and these guys are blooming.  I guess when the "real" spring gets here I won't have any crocus.  My daffodils are out of the ground by about 5 inches.  I hope the upcoming cold spell won't keep them from blooming in the spring.

CLUB SCRAP

I have been working on a lot of my Club Scrap kits and getting them ready for the million and one photos that have to be added.  I like to do all my cutting and then get a bunch ready before actually doing any pasting/taping of my full layout or photos.  I will adjust according to what I want to place on the page.
So far I have 18 pages finished with photos that only need to have journaling and may a few little additions.  Thes have been done using Club Scraps July 2012 kit Sorrento and the January 2013 kit Random Doorways.  Feels good to get back into scrap booking.  I haven't work on any pages since October some time.  Too very busy.  I will try and add a few photos in the next couple of weeks on some of the pages.
Have a wonderful day and smile!  It will make everyone wonder what you are up to ;o)

UPDATING

I am going to try to keep up a little better with this blog.  Now that the holidays are over I am trying to get back to my scrap booking and card making.  I also really want to get working on my class with the Ticket to Venice.  I won't be doing a Venice book but plan on working on 2 different ones - one for lighthouses and one for a trip to Montreal in the spring.  I need to start working on this for sure.

I do have a few cards I have recently completed.  These are all using Stampin' Up! products

Ticket to Venice

I've signed up for this class.  Should be a big help with journaling a trip.  I'm looking forward to it even if I don't keep up with it every day.

More Ornaments

I just love these Christmas Ornaments and have really been making a lot.  I decided once I got the new Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog that I was going to sign back up again with them.  I love lots of the new goodies in that mini and since I was going to get quite a bit of it may as well take advantage of the great discount.

So let me show you just a few more of the ones I've made.

The first ornament is made with retired Stampin' Up! Designer paper.  The middle one was made using the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper and the last one was stamped using Pacific Point Classic ink.  I used the Ornament Keepsakes Framelits dies for the base and the Bigz Snow Flurry die.  The red Scalloped Tulle is from Stampin' Up! and the white glitter tulle is from my stash.  The gems in the top and bottom snowflakes are from my stash while the Pearl in the center one is from Stampin' Up! ,  Dazzling Details Cherry Cobbler is also on the middle one.  Cords are from my stash.  I hope you like them.

Christmas Ornaments

It has been ages since I have added anything here but I've just finished doing these and am please with how they turned out.  The top one is my take on the ornament on the front cover of the new Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  I always try and make new ornaments every year and think these will fit right in.
The bottom two are my take on the ornament on page 3 of the same catalog.  I used the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle and paper from Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer & Be of Good Cheer Designer papers.  The snowflakes are made using Bigz Die Snow Flurry.  The Rosette if Designer Rosette Bigz XL that is in the new catalog.  I have added Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon to all 3 ornaments and love the look.  Other items used for these include the linen thread, Dazzling Details, Dazzling Diamonds, Large Pearls and the new Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons.

New cards

I have made a few cards to show.  These all use card stock from Stampin' Up! and the friend stamp is also from Stampin' Up!  The other images are from Club Scraps new May kit Wild Flowers.  The ink pads are from Stampin' Up! and they are Bermuda Bay, Lovely Lilac & So Saffron.  The card with the Saffron base is regular white card stock that has been sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl.  I love the effect.  The other 2 cards used Glossy White card stock.  I will probably be using the Wild Flowers kit a lot.

I've been spending a good amount of time working in the yard and came across this fellow out back near our shed.  He was waiting for me to leave and I was ready to leave.  I think we have at least 2 of them in our yard as hubby came across a bigger one while cutting the grass.  At least we don't have any rodents or copper heads thanks to these guys.  I just don't want to see them very often.

I've been hitting Lowe's Home Improvement and getting some great plants at a reduced price.  I love hitting their 50% off bin.  Just got another azalea and planted it yesterday before it got too hot.

Now to get on to some crafting for a while.  I'm  working now on the Brewed Awakenings kit from Club Scrap.  I will show some when I get them finished.

Monday, April 30, 2012

I have been doing a few crafty things lately.  I love making the rosettes and made these for the April Lottery over at PaperArtistsOnLine.com.  I have also been making scrap book pages to add photos to later.  I'll show some of them later.

So I have not been very good at keeping my blog up.  I really need to do some updating.  Just thought I would add a couple of photos from our gardens.  The top one is the first Iris blooming in April in my front flower bed.  The bottom photo show some of produce we have been enjoying from the veggie garden.  White Radishes and Spring Onions, love the white radishes much better than the red.

I have been busy with trying to get somewhat organized in my kitchen.  Getting rid of things and making better use of what I have.  I need to get working on my crafting space as it is way out of control.  My crafting space is also my genealogy space and I have been trying to improve on that area.  I hope to start on more of that later this week.

Have a great day.

BUSY

I hope to start posting a little more.  There is just so much going on.  For now here is a card that I did last week.  This was completed using Club Scraps Dream in Color kit.  I also use the greeting from their Versailles kit.  Stickles is the finishing touch.  I'm trying to keep my cards simple and light weight so they don't cost too much to mail to someone.

Number 9

Here is tag number 9.  This has been done but I haven't had a chance to get it uploaded before now.

Out of Order Number 12

I'm posting these out of order.  I hope to get caught up with all the tags really soon. I had very little of what Tim had on his tag so this is what I decided to do.

My Tim tag for day 8

I almost totally changed my version again today.  I really don't care for the Steampunk look.

My Tim Tag for day 7

Day 7 is finished.  At least I had some of the stuff Tim used for this one.

My Tim Tag #6

I actually did two for day 6 but this is the one I like best.  Again, not a whole lot like Tims.  I don't have any of that metal but I used Shimmery white card stock from Stampin' Up! and the Ornament Cuttlebug Folder for mine.  I then brayered the back ground and added bling to finish it off.

Caught up now

Here is my version of Tim Holtz tag #4.  Again I worked with the supplies that I had on hand.
